By Nick Miles · Updated 2026-10-03 · 3 expert sources
Pros
- +Built-in 3DoF tracking anchors the virtual screen in place without a companion app or hub (PCMag)
- +Simulated 32:9 ultrawide mode on any laptop that outputs DisplayPort over USB-C; Tom's Guide used it on a long-haul flight
- +57-degree field of view and a 171-inch virtual screen at 4 m, the widest XREAL panel in this group (XREAL listing)
- +Sony Micro-OLED panels at 1080p per eye and 120Hz, up to 700 nits (XREAL listing)
- +Two frame sizes cover IPD from 57 to 75 mm (XREAL listing)
Cons
- −No focus dials, so nearsighted users need prescription inserts (PCMag)
- −Tom's Guide's 2026 Viture Beast review says the One Pro still shows slight edge blurriness
- −1080p per eye gives less vertical room for documents than the 1200p panels in this group
- −Both Tom's Guide and PCMag list the price as its main drawback
Score breakdown
- Expert consensus8.0
- Effectiveness8.5
- Build safety9.0
- Durability8.0
- Value6.0
Build safety is provisional. Our 2026-10-03 search of CPSC recall data found no XREAL recall, and no safety or failure reports turned up in our sources, but we have not yet verified UL/FCC or equivalent safety certification. The 9.0 is a placeholder until that evidence is reviewed, not a certified rating.
What the experts say
“Seeing so much more of that simulated 32:9 ultrawide display with the expanded 57-degree field of view (FOV) is an incredible experience to have when on a long-haul flight.”
“I greatly prefer the diopter adjustment dials on smart glasses like the Rokid Max 2 and Viture Pro, since they let nearsighted users like me see in focus without spending extra on prescription lenses.”
