Cons

- −Tom's Hardware rated it 3.5/5 and called it pricier with a shorter warranty than some key competitors
- −All three reviews tested 2024 RTX 40-series units; none tested this RTX 5060 configuration
Score breakdown
- Expert consensus7.7
- Effectiveness5.2
- Build safety9.0
- Durability7.7
- Value7.2
Expert Consensus is the mean of three numeric ratings of 2024 Codex R2 units (PCMag 4/5, Tom's Guide 4/5, Tom's Hardware 3.5/5), all with RTX 40-series cards; Tom's Hardware's unit had a Core i7-14700F and an RTX 4060 Ti, so Effectiveness carries a 1.0 deduction. Build safety is provisional: our 2026-10-03 sources showed no recall, safety, heat or failure reports for this product, but we have not yet verified its UL/ETL or equivalent safety certification, so the 9.0 is a placeholder, not a certified rating.
